What makes the Dutch Precision Range different from other shooting ranges?
The Dutch Precision Range is planning to be a state-of-the-art shooting facility with a long-range shooting facility with a 2-mile (3.2 km) range, one of the longest in Europe. Our facility is designed for all levels, from beginners to professionals, and caters to diverse groups, including shooting associations, police, and defense forces.
Can beginners use the Dutch Precision Range, or is it only for experienced shooters?
Absolutely, beginners are welcome! We offer introductory programs and basic training sessions led by certified instructors, covering weapon handling, safety instructions, and shooting techniques. We also have dedicated short-range sections (25 to 100 m) for beginners to practice safely before moving to longer distances.
What are the safety measures in place at the Dutch Precision Range?
Safety is our top priority. We comply with all International, local law, regulations, guidelines and ISO 45001 standards. Our measures include bullet traps (e.g. meeting EN 1522 standards), Access controls, mandatory safety training for all users, and regular inspections. We also plan to have noise reduction barriers to minimize disturbance to the surrounding area.
How much does it cost to use the Dutch Precision Range as a member of a shooting association?
Shooting associations can benefit from special group packages, such as 10 sessions per year for a set amount. Individual members of associations receive a discounts on regular rates. We have to wait for the exact pricing and availability depending on the outcome of the plan development phase.
Can I bring my own firearm to the Dutch Precision Range?
Yes, you must bring your own firearm and ammunition, provided it complies with the Dutch Weapons and Ammunition Act (WWM). For international shooters the Weapons and Ammunition Act of their county of origen and the EU regulations for transporting weapons. All users must comply with the safety rules as set by the range (when you travel as part of a shooting association organized activity also the rules of the association) and all users must the complete a safety briefing before using the range.
What kind of training programs are available for shooters?
We offer a range of training programs, including introductory courses for beginners, advanced long-range shooting sessions, and tactical training for police and defense. This will be organized in close coorporation with shooting associations programs led by certified instructors.
Are there facilities for shooting associations to host events or competitions?
Yes, we plan to have space for groups, including training rooms for briefings, and a canteen for social events. Associations can organize club championships, training days, or social gatherings, with free use of training rooms for groups of 20 or more.
Is the Dutch Precision Range accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes, in the plan is a facility that is fully accessible. We will have parking spaces, a canteen, and changing rooms with showers designed for people with disabilities. The shooting positions and training rooms will also be wheelchair-accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy the Dutch Precision Range experience.
